Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham (English: Modern Saraswathi's Challenge) is a 2013 Tamil contemporary fantasy comedy movie written and directed by K. Chandru.The movie revolves around four men, played by Jai, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan and Rajkumar.Niveda Thomas was paired opposite Jai. The movie was produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram and has cinematography by J. Anand (associate of Nirav shah) and music by Prem Kumar.The movie went on floors on February 26, 2013. It is not a remake of the 1966 mythological movie Saraswathi Sabatham.
The movie went on floors on February 26, 2013. Chandru shot the first scene in Villivakkam, Chennai. Though the movie is set in Chennai, the director said that a minor portion will be shot abroad. In June 2013 VTV Ganesh left to Malaysia for the shoot of Saraswathi Sabatham with Jai. In July, about 80% of the movie shooting had been wrapped.
