Desi Magic is a latest romantic comedy movie, directed by Mehul Atha and produced by Amisha Patel and Kunal Goomer under the banner of Amisha Patel Productions. It features actors Amisha Patel, Lilette Dubey and Zayed Khan in the lead roles. The movie is slated to release on February 28, 2014.
Actress Amisha Patel will be making her debut as a movie producer in this movie under the banner of her production house, Amisha Patel Productions. According to her, creating a production house was the idea of her co-producer Kunal Goomer's idea, who persuaded her to set up a company with him which aimed at making good films.
This is the first time that actress Ameesha Patel will be doing a double role for a movie. Regarding her character, she told in an interview that in this movie, she will be playing two characters of totally opposite nature.
The movie introduces DJ Aqeel as a movie score composer, his notable work being recreating the song "Ek Do Teen" from the 1988 film Tezaab, which was originally sung by Alka Yagnik. The new version is recorded by popular Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal. Apart from that, Shreya has also sung a slow number composed by Lalit Pandit.
